Pratt Institute is a private university with its main campus in Brooklyn, New York. It has a additional campus in Manhattan, as well as an
extension site in Utica, New York. The institute was founded in 1887 with programs primarily in engineering, architecture and fine arts.

In 1974, Pratt published a (perhaps) unique form of promoting their university. A general brochure, consisting of 80 descriptive cards
housed in a cardboard box, was made available for mailing to any persons seeking general information about the university. One side
of each card had a decorative color drawing, plus -- in a distinctive font style -- the name of the specific topic which was to be found
on the reverse side of the card.
It is believed that the noted pop-graphics artist Peter Max (Wikipedia | official site), who was a Pratt alumni, designed each of the cards.
While this cannot be positively confirmed, there are some notable similarities in his known works and that of the brochure cards.
